Improved Sending Unit Float
Installed one of these new style floats, working perfect for the last two months. Bought two brass units from venders we support and they both got gas logged within a couple months....

Re: Improved Sending Unit Float
Subscribed. I think I need something like this...
If I recall correctly from a previous thread the link below is where you bought the float. I, too, would like to know more about the actual construction of it. It appears from the picture that the polyurethane only covers about 2/3 of the float. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1947-72-Chev...f58dbd&vxp=mtr |

Re: Improved Sending Unit Float
Good advice. I may look into doing that very thing with my new sender. I want to get some of that sealer for my old Panel tank that I intend to put in my green '68.

Re: Improved Sending Unit Float
The float is some type of plastic, the brass end is molded to it so you can attaché it to the sending unit. I bought it off eBay , still working perfect. I removed the sock filter on sending unit also. Installed an inline filter before the fuel pump.

Re: Improved Sending Unit Float
Have one of the brass floats on the sender units I just bought from one of our vendors here, but haven't put it in fuel yet. This is good information should I have problems.
