K10 Tie rod help...

I'm having a bit of trouble locating a tie rod adjustment sleeve (wheel to wheel) for my 72 K10. The tie rod ends are easy enough to find, but no listing for the long sleeve. I had a little trouble with a chain and pulling my wife's car out of a snow bank, now I've got a bit of a major "toe in".....

Is there any interchangeable listings? Or am I gonna have to hit the parts board?

Thanx

It's not reproduced. You'll have to find an OE used one.

Re: K10 Tie rod help...

Has anyone ever had one made? Could a good machine shop produce one? Could the old one be straightened?

Re: K10 Tie rod help...

Yes one could make one from Dom tube, any machine shop can tap the threads for the stock rod ends. I do them all the time in 1.5 x 2.50 wall but that's over kill for what you need.

You could try to have it straighten but depends on how bad. If it's real bad wouldn't even try it.

Thank you. I had a friend with an exhaust bender fix up the slight bend I had to get me through, but this info is handy for replacing in warmer weather....
