a fun one... is your truck chick friendly...
Or rather, what would your truck need to be chick friendly.
I'm talking, say your truck is your only ride... would a hottie let you escort her to the movies and dinner in your truck? And if not....why? I was rather shocked. last time I had a hottie over, I had no heat, very loud pipes, ran so rich that your eyes woudlburn, primer, paint and rust all showing from 100 feet... and a caved in bedside, couldn't hear the stereo over the (lack of) exhaust.... smelled kinda funny inside, yet, my girlfriend was happy to ride in it, and actually kinda got a kick out of it. I guess i am just real lucky to have a hottie who digs my junk. |

Re: a fun one... is your truck chick friendly...
My wife loves it. She is the reason i still have it. She hated it the first time she road in it though. The truck still had the factory seat with a dark cloth cover. Well someone had evidently spilled old oil on the seat in the middle. She got out of the truck and had a huge oil stain on her butt. Oh she was mad!

Re: a fun one... is your truck chick friendly...
My gal likes my truck (when its running), as for other chics, I could care less what anyone else thinks of my ride, male or female. And besides, any woman that thinks shes too good to ride in an old beater truck ain't a woman I want anything to do with.

Re: a fun one... is your truck chick friendly...
When I first got my truck I expected all the girls at school to roll their eyes and call me a redneck, but much to my surprise, they love the thing! I get so many compliments from girls on it and everytime I've ever given a girl a ride home they tell me how much they love my truck. It definitely draws the girls attention, one more reason why I enjoy my truck so much.

Re: a fun one... is your truck chick friendly...
They like my lowered 71 long bed, don't like the 71 short bed because of the color (Ochre). I'm pretty sure they will like my 68 3/4 ton 4X4. I have yet to receive it from the towing company. When I do I will take it up to Hooters for the girls to wash.

Re: a fun one... is your truck chick friendly...
People in general, not just women, like both the burb and the longhorn, although the Longhorn is much prettier, the Burb has more appeal. Plus, the rear seat in the burb folds into a bed, so.....

Re: a fun one... is your truck chick friendly...
I found a hot, smart, sweet babe that LOVES vintage tin the bigger the engine and lumpier the cam the better..... so I married her and don't care what the rest of them think about my junk :-)
Have had lots of women in my time who judged a ride by how shiny the paint was i.e. new soul less mid-sized family barge with pretty paint was great but the most desirable 60's muscle you can name needing restored was an old piece of junk. Build what strokes YOUR crank, and if you need a chick magnet buy some little sporty car with pretty paint and lots of bling bling IMHO

Re: a fun one... is your truck chick friendly...
Funny now that the resto is complete and I am driving the truck allot more I have noticed quite a few comments from the opposite sex....They especially like the color......Now back when I met my wife I had an 87 Monte SS that I was driving when she met me the first time....well when I showed up for our first date I brought the old "unrestored" truck.....she still claims to this day that she almost didnt go when she saw what I was driving...... ....now that it is restored she likes it though....

As for chicks.. For some reason not the ones I meet and my truck looks nice and rides pretty damn good. They all seem to say.. "It's just not new". Well duh.. it's 36 years old. Maybe after I date one for a while I'll find myself a new girl and when they ask why I'll say.. "You're just not new" As for the dates.. Got myself one tonight and we're going in the 70..

Re: a fun one... is your truck chick friendly...
My wife likes the truck. I have tried to make it more friendly and safer for her to drive (if she has to) by getting a power booster and disc brakes. I have noticed that most of the females who comment on the truck say that their father/grandfather used to have one just like it.

Re: a fun one... is your truck chick friendly...
Mine's 50/50 but being a primered beater isn't exactly the coolest thing in the world. You have to understand that "southern chicks" (the "proper" ones anyway) prefer things to be neat and clean and new. Now the redneck chicks totally loved my truck. I could be caught doing squealys and powerslides all over clemson my senior year (when no other cars were around, or couse )
My current gf (of 2 1/2 years and a TOTAL hottie) loves the '67. She thinks it's "cute" She wasn't a big fan of it until I let her drive it (the ONLY female that has ever driven it in the almost 10 years I've owned it) and I told her to hit the gas. She did her first squealy ever! I about slammed my head into the back of the cab. Her 99 corolla doesn't do squealys too well. Anyway she's awesome, I got the "go ahead" to drop a coupe grand in the truck to get it finished and painted. That couple grand has turned into 3 and will soon be $4,500
