The cheap solution is to use a garage door T-handle (approximately $8 at a hardware store), cut the handle to length, drill a hole for the spring pin, and transfer over your torsion spring and bracket. The only downsides are slightly different cosmetic appearance, and you loose the flapper door where the key goes in (helps to keep out the elements).
If you need the torsion spring or bracket I think I still have an extra set. |
