window regulator gear

My window assembly is in great shape ,but the gear was bad. So I replaced it and I think the gear was the wrong size because it would just skip or get stuck. Where can I get a new one that will fit well.

Re: window regulator gear

I bought the gear also, and it did not work. I ended up buying a repro regulator instead of trying other gears, and it worked fine.

Re: window regulator gear

I've tried fixing up two original regulators and haven't had the best of luck with them holding up. Buying a new one fixed all the problems even though I hate installing these. There must be a trick I don't know because it takes me hours of cussing to install.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of.
