Show us your Truck!
We need a SHOW US YOUR TRUCK thread! Everyone post up pics of your truck with details on what you've done to it, specs, mods, future mods, etc...
I'll start, here's my 64 long step which I've had just about a year now. Original wood from 64, 305ci w/ac and four on the floor shift. I'll be dropping a 350ci in it really soon, like next week. After that I'll be doing a 2"/4" drop and then re-gear the axle. next...

Re: Show us your Truck!
I've posted pics before, but here is some more. First is when I bought it almost 2 years ago. Second when I put the fleetside bed on it. Third is the way it sits now. I'll get it back together soon!!

Re: Show us your Truck!
Here's my '63 LWB FleetSide.....Picked it up for free....primered it black, then it kinda grew on me !!! Pulled out the leaky 350 for a reseal and paint.
Threw on some whitewalls on stock painted wheels....Future plans will be a FULL CUSTOM chassis and suspension (for my shop advertisement)...Not sure if it'll be Juice or Air....... - - - - - - - - - - - -

Re: Show us your Truck!
Here's my 64. Dad got it new and it had not run since 1990 but that all changed today. Me and the old man took it down the driveway. Sure brought back alot of memories. I learned to drive in this old thing and later drove it to high school. Can't wait to get it on the road. HB

Re: Show us your Truck!
Here is the 60 shortbed stepside that I picked up in the fall. I'm spending the winter working on it. I'm putting power steering and a 3.38 gear in it.

Re: Show us your Truck!
Man, there are some super nice trucks, 'burbs and panels in here. Here is my girl, Matraca, she's beat up, and just a truck, but she's paid for and runs. 1965 Chevrolet C10, stepside, 127 inch, long wheel base, 8 foot bed, pickup. When I bought the truck it already had a '92 5.7L/350 block, but with a carburetor, and a th350 auto tranny. Power steering - 90's style pump, but a '67-'72 style power steering box(I think), power drum brakes. The steering column is a automatic column from a '71. Things I've done: new tires added the baby moon hubcaps with the bow tie in the center, painted the steel 15 inch wheels semi gloss black. upclose hubcap pictures and information installed the parts and pieces for a '1966 and later' emergency brake cable system. That was a real pain, I kept finding that I was missing pieces. added oem, used chrome bumper guards added those big honking side mirrors, which are OEM used GM parts off a '64, because I think it makes it look more 'truck'. I installed the reproduction, original style round tail lights. reinstalled the same kind of tachometer that was in it at purchase, which was fried during the "big electrical incident." tach install pics My pal and I installed the shoulder strap, seat belts, which I bought from Juliano's, for a bench seat. Hot Rod Parts & Interior Products My dad and I replaced the parts in the window regulator in the driver side door with the bushings and all of that so that the window would roll up and down correctly. Repainted/reinstalled the driver side vent wing window and frame - after having that post at the bottom of the wing window welded back on. various repairs(aka: old trucks are fun! ): head gaskets (that was a pain, I had the timing 180 degrees out, yeesh, hadda take it to my mechanic[but, I drove it there], I got in over my head, hahaha) brake shoes front and rear heater hoses / radiator hoses front rubber brake hose lines to the wheel cylinders replaced power master cylinder(shows as a '69 gmc unit at NAPA) jerked out the radiator to have it welded/fixed various strange electrical problems, including a previously fried wire that was behind the fuse panel. replaced the 3 u joints in the two piece drive shaft, plus the center 'carrier bearing' replaced the starter motor added a ground cable from the battery to the frame and another one from the motor to the frame replaced the belts machined a longer push rod to the MC for the brake pedal, for another 2 inches, has a nicer feel now. mixed/matched parts, creates interesting situations... especially when you do not know what the mix/mash is made of. future things on the to do list : get a trailer hitch, if possible to work in conjunction with the under the bed, spare tire setup: under the bed spare tire setup Then, I can get a new exhaust(headers, pipes, mufflers) and route it around all of that stuff... I hope. shocks I want to set up a intermittent wiper delay on my windshield wipers, but I keep ham handing the parts and breaking them. Last edited by Woogeroo; 01-07-2008 at 03:31 PM.
