Cool

DanDeluxe,

I have a painted steel chest mfd. by Delta in my 72 K10 short-bed, fleetside. The toolbox is heavy-duty and fits between the bedside walls with an inch or so clear on either side. It is large enough to secure (4) golf bags! or jackets, and other stuff. I anchored it to the bed floor with double-nutted carriage bolts. I placed 1" spacers (4) beneath to keep the box off the floor. The top is barely visible in side view. The box enabled me to retain the chrome/stainless bedside rails at full-length.

I plan to have the box finished with the Rhino or Line-X coating when I resurface the bed. I may go back with a taller spacer for hauling 4x8 sheets of plywood & such.

I don't shop at Wal-Mart so I don't know what they sell. I believe my tool box came from a Travelier dealer. Travelier sells all kinds of truck accessories and doodads.

Hope this helps,

KCR
