Steering Wheel horn help needed.

I have a 1976 chevrolet pickup with a tilt steering column. And its got a 1968 impala steering wheel on it. Its a nice looking wheel. But I am having a hard time figuring out how to hookup the horn contact set. So it will have a horn.
Im sure I can just add a button on the dash. But rather have it on the steering wheel if I could. Anyone done this ? Anything I can buy ?
Also coming out of the bottom of the steering wheel with the other wires is
three very little wires together but not hooked up together. They are
Brown,Blue and Black anyone know what they go too. They are a lot smaller
then the other wires and are by there self. Thanks

Re: Steering Wheel horn help needed.

Does your truck have cruise? If so, the three smaller wires are for the cruise.

Re: Steering Wheel horn help needed.

I had a problem getting my 62 Impala wheel to consistently work the horn. I finally gave up and installed a switch on the floor to the left of the high beam switch. Works like a champ!

Re: Steering Wheel horn help needed.

Had a similar issue with the horn. To keep it simple and cheap I installed it on the floor instead. Actually was just about 6 months ago since I'm due to go back for the every 6 month 'inspection' next month.

Had to have "a working horn somewhere" to pass.

Works for me.

O Ok ! Thanks a lot guys !
So no cruise so I guess I will just delete them.
And I guess I will install a floor mount switch also
I like the looks of the impala wheel.
