Nice truck but not for $50-$65K. I recently got a very nice truck online for much less. Pics below.....

Re: another craigslist find (everybody look)

Judging by the big slicks, big block, nitrous... he could have that much in it. But since he doesn't give details, who knows if it has just a $1,000 dolled up scab 366 or a $30,000 big bore stroker.

Re: another craigslist find (everybody look)

i LOVE the mickey thompson slicks out back. definatly a very cool ride. hve to agree with jeff, he might have 65,000 tied up in that truck, especially if that is a real done up bigblock, and if he plans to plant all that power through something other then ladder bars...

is it actually worth the 50k? i dont think soo...

Re: another craigslist find (everybody look)

While I can't imagine doing it myself there are people with more money than brains who sub out ALL aspects of a restoration. It is funny talking to those guys when the say "I restored it".

I guess if a guy can write $65,000.00 worth of checks he can say he restored it. Pretty bad investment if he is planning on retiring on $50k. You better be within a year of death if you want to retire on that little.

Nice looking truck anyways.

Re: another craigslist find (everybody look)

That truck has been listed for a long time. It is a nice truck, and he just might have a a pro built motor that he spent a ton on. Unfortunately he doesn't bother to mention any of that.

Re: another craigslist find (everybody look)

i seen that listing yesterday lol. it looks like a clean truck but when you put a 50k price tag on something, you better put some details with it.

Re: another craigslist find (everybody look)

I would say that if you're gonna lose $15K investment and still want 50K for your truck you put way too much money in your truck! And you only got to drive it 2100 miles.

Re: another craigslist find (everybody look)

If he paid a shop to build this, he could EASILY spend that kind of money. Labor is EXPENSIVE!

Re: another craigslist find (everybody look)

I really can't see spending that kind of dough on these trucks. If it was a vintage Camaro or Chevelle perhaps. If he has what he says he does into the truck, maybe he started with a project truck that looked like this....

Re: another craigslist find (everybody look)

My guess is that most of those dollars were spent paying somebody else to build the truck...and again to build it another way when he changed his mind...and then again when he changed it again...and so on and so on...

Re: another craigslist find (everybody look)

there are alot of opinions out there but unless we see it in person or detail picts and some good information it is really hard to tell.

From just the craigslits ad I could see where he has spent some money and knowing what I know and doing things correctly it could add up really quick..
