Re: Stake bodies

It's a 72 with a GMC V6 which I was told was a 401 w/4 spd "Granny Low", 1-3 PTO driven lift. Want to put in new side rails and did not come with rear gate was trying to find some sort of kit with all the pieces online but couldn't find anything.Going to use for landscaping.

Re: Stake bodies

If you are talking about what I think you are... adding walls to the flat bed, there won't be a kit. 99% of the beds on one ton daulie trucks were not GM made, but added after production.

Re: Stake bodies

Nice 72 Chevy C-30, well the body is, it could have originally been a GMC, but it is a Chevy now.

Re: Stake bodies

GM made their own flatbeds from factoey as well as cab`n`chassis to be upfitted with any other make, like Omaha Standard,Obeco...But that`s a grnuine GM flatbed you have there. You tail lights would be the standard round lense w/round back-ups that are used on Stepsides and StepVans.Same with the side marker on the bed. There is a box made to mount the rear side marker to.You could search junk yards and around to find the factory stakes fro your bed. They would be the same as larger trucks, too. They came in wood w/steel stancions ans in all steel,I believe.
