1st Pics outside, since paint!

Three friends came over today to help lift Lil' Red's bed back on her newly painted frame...so we rolled her outside to turn her around. She looked so purdy even with out her bed on I just had to take a pic or two. Until today I haven't had the opportunity to take a pic of her outside. We rolled her back in the garage and lifted her bed into place. Now I can take measurements for the driveshaft!

Them are two of the hams that helped lift the bed, LOL, ....The one in the hat is a brain washed 2nd gen Ford freak and the other in my neighbor...Mr. VW.
I do thank them and Doc Tom for helping.

Re: 1st Pics outside, since paint!

OK here goes.... First have to say thanks for everyones kind words. Mopar flags....what Mopar flags ??? Ok, I'll explain..I owned a 2001 Plymouth Prowler and those flags came from Bandimiere Speedway. I wanted to paint this truck Hugger Orange but the wife said you already have an Orange car...Torch red was my next choice. I sold the Prowler cause I really wanted to do a frame off on one of these trucks and I wanted to do it right. My Dad worked for GM for 30 years and would kill me if he saw them. Can't even say the words....when he found out I bought a 6 cylinder Plymouth Prowler...lets not go there...the car was beautiful but I wanted one of these trucks. So Lets make a deal....Mopar flags come down tomorrow...Deal guys ???

Color....PPG Chevrolet Corvette Torch Red...No pearl in the clear.

Here is the engine bay.

Yes, AUX trans cooler fits behind the grill. Will it work. Ahhh yea! Bypass the hot radiator get it chillin' out in front.

Re: 1st Pics outside, since paint!

Just a little poking about the MOPAR flags - they look great, leave 'em there

The engine bay looks GREAT! This is one amazing truck.

Re: the oil cooler in front of the radiator - this is the way my 1995 Impala SS is set up and I have no issues at all.

Re: 1st Pics outside, since paint!

Thanks Billla. It's kinda funny some 35 years ago she started life with a 6 cylinger and no radio...and now she's got a very healthy V8 and about 900 watts of stereo power. I wish you guys could see the steel bed floor. It is truly amasing as to no dents or mars anywhere. The old man who owned this must have never put anything in the back...or maybe he hauled leaves and broomed them out???

Re: 1st Pics outside, since paint!

I REALLY like the silver accents. I was thinking of that with my Tangelo Orange truck. Silver just makes it look clean, not that black dosen't, just that black is usually the most used color for the other stuff that cannot be body color.
