1970 C10 with rear leaf springs?

http://www.earlyclassic.com/Tech.asp...=Spring%20Time

This link was offered on a different thread. Excellent information and of course it comes from ECE.

Tonight I looked at a 1970 C10 with rear leaf springs. What is the history on the rear leaf spring. When would a C10 be built with the rear leaf springs? I want to lower the truck if I purchase it and am not sure of the correct way to do this. I am betting the smartest 67-72 Chevy Truck people in the world know. Thanks in advance. Tim

As far as the history of rear leafs, not many c-10's with leafs, but it could be ordered.More GMC's had leafs than chevy's.Flip kit,or shackles, depending on how low you want to go.

They may have done a frame swap. I have also seen where some of the chevys sold with leafs started as cab and chasis. That is what I have found in some of the original parts books.
