Re: ls1 brakes on c-10
Impala rotors wont bolt up to a c10 spindle. The rear Impala rotors will slide on the c10 5 lug axles in the rear for a 4 wheel disc conversion.

Re: ls1 brakes on c-10
Mid 70's GM station wagons with HD brakes and or police cars came with a 12" rotor. I did this swap on my 73 TA. I do not know if this will work on the trucks. I purchased the spindles from a station wagon with 12" brakes and installed on F-body.

Re: ls1 brakes on c-10
what do you mean by ls1 brakes? an ls1 is an engine not a vehicle so try to be a little more specific about what they came from and what you are trying to put them on. then someone might be able to help you a little more. what year spindle are you trying to put these brakes on? and what kind of calipers did you get?

Re: ls1 brakes on c-10
they are dual piston calipers off of a 98-02 f body and are commonly refered to as ls1 style brakes. my truck is a 70 c20 but i bought c20 to c10 drop spindles from early classic enterprises

Re: ls1 brakes on c-10
Kore3 was in the process of making a hub kit to bolt corvette rotors and calipers onto our trucks. I got a set of F-body calipers (I was with you with the "LS1 calipers" )to use for this conversion too, but I haven't heard anything from them or about it for a long time.
I then decided to use some Howe Racing dual piston aluminum calipers.....now I'm trying to sell them (search in the parts for sale forum if you're interested) as I'm going another direction. |

Re: ls1 brakes on c-10
i found some 12" rotors for our trucks on early classic enterprises but they are $60 each for regular and $135each for cross drilled plus shipping, too rich for my blood! guess ill keep lookin for an oem part that will work to try and save some money.
