Re: How could I sneak this home?
Shop? As in repair shop?
"Customer driving through dropped it off for repairs." Then, after doing some repairs, "Customer called and said they can't pick up truck." Then "Customer offered it to me cheap. I've already sunk money into it so I might as well get it going." It'll be there two, maybe three months before you even "own" it. |

Re: How could I sneak this home?
I'm thinking maybe the Johnny Cash method. Bring it home one piece at a time. Blend the parts in with my other junk. Then slowly put it back together. And telling her I made it out of spare parts!
BTW I am very proficient at slowly putting things back together. I consider myself a master. |

Then there's the money thing. She is not to happy with my current "cash sponge" project.
After performing a root cause analysis on this problem It looks like it makes sense to get rid of the wife! But I really like her.... |

Re: How could I sneak this home?
Nice truck, I have nothing to offer. Every time I drag something home like that it translates into more home and garden projects for Ms. Joan as a trade off. But I do like the home grown food so its not all bad...

Re: How could I sneak this home?
Put a load of firewood on it and tell her you got a package deal. That truck is worth having for what it can do as well for as what it is.
If it has a hoist that you can dump stuff with it's worth that much more and has added value in her eyes. At least that is how my wife sees my 77 1 ton flatbead with a hoist. It can do things she wants done and that lets it have a spot in the driveway.

Re: How could I sneak this home?
I have a 69 C30 with a lift flat bed that is coming home with me because the wife sees it as a compost hauler....

Re: How could I sneak this home?
Better to ask for forgiveness than permission but then again my wife supports my addiction ,she usually goes with me to get them.

Re: How could I sneak this home?
Funny you ask that, saying the the wife might not like you bringing home another truck. I think you might have just left a clue if your wife mysteriously disappears after the truck shows up.

Re: How could I sneak this home?
My Grandpa snuck an IH B series home years ago. He hid it behind the garage. Grandma didn't notice for about a week.
I don't think you can hide that truck behind the garage. LOL Chris |
