New Gas Tank Relocation mocked up today!
I got my gas tank mocked up today so I can send my frame off to get it powder coated. I ended up putting the tank where the spare tire was and ended up using the 69 Camaro tank to do the flip down license plate. My uncle and I had to make some brackets to be able to bolt my gas tank straps up. Here is some pictures of what it looks like.

The tank capacity is 18 gallons and I have gotten that far yet to see it a receiver hitch will fit.

Re: New Gas Tank Relocation mocked up today!
Looking forward to watching the progress on this! I just recently picked up a new tank from LMC to put between the frame rails too. I hope to start my project this spring. Can't wait to see more of your updates and pictures!

Thanks Oly72C20. I'm taking my frame and other parts over to the powder coater tomorrow. I am lowering my truck and already decided on a color doing the 2012 Ford Mustang Grabber Blue with a saddle interior.

That will be sick! I can't wait to see how it turns out. What amount of drop are you doing?

Going to be around 7-8 inches off the ground and going with either 2.5 or 3 inch drop.

That looks good ! I like the way you fabbed the supports with the tabs, so you could use the stock type straps for support. Are you going to run some kind of pads for tank protection against the bottom of the frame rails ??

That looks good! Nice and low profile for sure. Makes me kinda wanna rethink my big boxy tank sitting up between the rails.. Yours tucks in nice and close!

Re: New Gas Tank Relocation mocked up today!
Thanks bbcmudtruck & 72bowtiestepper. I am going to run gas tank pad for the rails. We just wanted to mock it up because its getting powder coated today. I was going to use the big boxy one but it wouldn't work because of the filler neck and would have to cut into my frame. So that's why I went with the 69 camaro gas tank. It fits perfect under the frame.
