Got driveshaft back and installed
Found a really good shop in Denver, Rocky Mountain Driveline, they took one day to lengthen the driveshaft to 58 1/4". They painted it black and it was all prudy...but it wasn't the hammered black like I used for my diff. So, used Zylene to take the paint off, primed and re-painted in hammered black. It went in super easy......and another piece of the puzzle is complete! It's hard to photograph black, but here she is:

Howdy;
NICE++! Will that be a stepside when you get a bed on it, or will you keep it a "bobtail" to show off that outstanding chassis work? Looks cleaner than my dinnerware! cowboy33713 |

Re: Got driveshaft back and installed
Thanks again everyone, I'm philthy again from scubbing and scrubbing where the trans fluid spewed all over place, my frame, garage floor, engine. I just changed out the front Doetsch Tech shocks...they were never right. Replaced them with BellTech 3"-4" Drop Nitro shocks...they fit mUCH better. I had bought all 4 the same Doetsch Tech shocks, they work perfect in the back without shock relocator brackets but are just too long for the front with the drop I have. So....if Summit won't take them back I will offer them to the board at 1/2 price.

Re: Got driveshaft back and installed
that is super clean. I admit I like the hammerkote look.
but I have to ask about the rear Ujoint angle. shouldnt there be a little more to it (ie 2 to 3 degrees)? |
