Clutch pedal trouble

My clutch pedal will not return the last 1 1/2 inches to the full release position and the truck won't move w/o me lifting it with my foot. I have ordered new bolt, spring and bushings from LMC. Will this replacement of "worn" parts solve the problem?

Re: Clutch pedal trouble

Is your clutch pedal parallel to the brake or is it shifted left at the bottom?

I've found that well used clutch pedals fatigue with time and start to bend to the left and eventually hit part of the steering column/pedal core support under the dash preventing the pedal from being able to return fully. A new bushing will help too, but may not be the ultimate solution.

Re: Clutch pedal trouble

Oil: clutch pedal is parallel to the brake pedal. Yup, it is also rubbing a little on the bracket. I figured that the bushing would help align the pedal.

IMHO it will not help unless it is missing or worn to virtual non-existence.

I can't remember, but isn't the '83 a hydro clutch?
