Patina?

hey guys, new here, but have been educating myself reading tons of posts on this site over the last year, it has helped out tremendously. so thanks to everyone, i really like the look of the patina trucks you call them, i'm just curious if there is a way this is done or are they just trucks that are originals found in this condition sitting out in the weather? or are they painted and coated with something to achieve this weathered look? i'm not very computer literate so once i figure out how to post pics and things i'll see what i can do, take care for now. these are test pics hope they work. a couple might show up really small. i had just got a new camera and hadnt figured out how it worked quite yet.

Re: Patina?

Park outside, let nature take its toll......

There are ways to get a new part to look weathered but IMO, it's crazy to do that to a part in perfectly good shape.

Re: Patina?

I wouldn't fake the patina at all, if you want rust, then use something already done by nature, other than that, paint it with a gloss! The patina/rat rod trend is way over done imo
