Re: got the 66 lowered with the new wheels....
this was why I went with air bags in the rear, at least one can adjust it to the ride height you want and it was not that expensive -----$200.00

Re: got the 66 lowered with the new wheels....
Seems like the front needs to come down more, but looks cool overall, probably will look better with the weight out of the back also.

I agree, pound that front some more and watch your interest go up as the front goes down.

Re: got the 66 lowered with the new wheels....
It takes a little while for the front coils to settle. I would take the lode off the back and drive it over some speed bumps and then see how it looks. How much did you lower it?

you can cut a little off the front coils as well and come down another inch or so

Re: got the 66 lowered with the new wheels....
heres a better picture. It has a ton of stuff in the back, Im sure itll come up some. It has 82 drop spindles, and stock springs. I have a set of cut coils, but it would come waaaay down. I dont know what to do really. the rear is CPP coils, but I bought them used, but barely, but The PO didnt know how low they were. any way to figure that out?

Re: got the 66 lowered with the new wheels....
From the look of it at least 5" drop coils in the rear?? The front doesn't look dropped at all. I'm new at this with these trucks but I took some measurements on mine today and a 2 1/2 drop spindle should put the edge of the fender just above the front wheel. But with the stuff in the back it's really hard to tell.

Re: got the 66 lowered with the new wheels....
I think the small tires make it look like the front isn't lowered.

Re: got the 66 lowered with the new wheels....
As far as tires go do people run stock height or generally go bigger? Would a 225/75 15 be an equivalent to a stock tire on a 63 C10?
