Re: New Sheetmetal?
I haven't used any but Chevs of the 40's sells pretty much every piece of sheet metal for the AD trucks. They have adds in every issue of classic truck and custom and classic truck among other rags. http://www.chevsofthe40s.com/catpage...sso?Dept=Truck
Wes at www.classicheartbeat.com also sells chev/GMC truck pieces and can probably get you most any sheet metal piece for the truck. From going to his shop I can say that he doesn't sell anything that he won't put on his own trucks. As several of the guys said, there are a lot of vendors out there selling parts and most of them sell the same stuff. Having messed with these things for 35 years I can say that not all oem pieces fit the same on these trucks as quality control and fitment wasn't that big a deal with the factory on trucks then. Even if you can find nos pieces you will have to do a lot of fitting to get everything in what would be considered first rate show truck condition such as door gaps, hood gap/fit, fender alignment and what not. |

Re: New Sheetmetal?
I have found LMC to the the easiest to order from. Their catalog shows the pieces as they are attached to the truck.

Re: New Sheetmetal?
We sell all the same imported sheetmetal that everyone else sells. In addition we also sell complete stockfront and rear floor boards MADE IN USA. also firewalls for 50's trucks.

Re: New Sheetmetal?
Yeah I just left the website after leaving you an email. I am looking for cut pile carpet for my 51 but see no details on the site.

Re: New Sheetmetal?
Jennifer is working fulltime getting parts on our site but has not gotten to the carpet yet. You can call us at 1-800-398-0537 or my cell is 832-385-0729 I will check the email. I wish it was easy getting parts on but it is time consuming and we are small.
