Blazer tank straps???
What is the deal with the new blazer tank kit straps? They do not seem to be long enough to go from left to right between the frame rails. I am putting the 72 back together for my dad and he got a new poly tank from Outback truck parts in Spring, and the straps are too short. It is going in a LWB, so there is no crossmember in front of where the tank mounts. What is the deal here? Any of you vendors know why the straps are shorter than they used to be? Or are the straps the same length and I am just not seeing things clearly? Thanks for the help in advance.

The ones that go on the aftermarket tank are side to side. They seem really short, but after you tightn them up a lot of slack really comes out of them ithought they were too short also when I did mine, but they turned out fine. If they had been longer they might not have tightened up all the way.

Good deal Shawn. I was hopeing that the straps would work from side to sode like I did when I had the truck. Next week we should be firing it up for the first time. I never thought it would be this hard to talk someone into using Hooker Comp headers, but he seems to be dead set on manifolds. Go figure, he just won't listen. Thanks again Shawn.
