Rear sway bar for a 1 ton - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I found a good deal on a cab & chassis 14 bolt rear on Craigslist, went to take a look at it and it turns out this thing is a bolt in! I knew spring perchs would be correct but this came out of an 85 motor home and doesnt use the staggered shocks. Now for the cool part..this thing had a massive 1-3/4" sway bar and he threw it in the deal..all for 200.
I even got the frame brackets so all I will have to do is drill 8 holes for the brackets and its a done deal!

Very nice! I had seen those, and thought abour getting one of the for my '67 C-30. You'll have to let us know what kind of difference it makes.

Did you need the engine hoist to get the swaybar out too? LOL..Pretty burly piece of steel !! St. Joseph, have you eaten at Barbosa's lately?

So you know about Barbosa's

I eat at the one at I-29 and Frederick pretty often..but I really like the castle downtown..just havent made it down there in awhile.
Do you make it up here often?

Love their food, I drive an hour both ways about twice a year!! I always eat at the Castle.

The motor home looked to be based off the P-30 chassis so these may be on the chip and bread truck stepvans. I even snagged the tilt column but haven't looked it over to good to see how much different it is from our trucks.

I almost had one off a '68 P-30. Then I stopped since there is literally no leaning in the back of my one ton int eh corners.
