Brake booster

Hi all, I have a question. I am trying to get my 72 K20 on the road after way to long. Is there any way to check the brake booster off of the vehicle? It is the original and has been not drivable for some time,in fact the motor was pulled when I bought it so I don't know it it worked when I got it. Thanks.

Re: Brake booster

If you have a vacuum pump then you can check the booster for leaks. Vacuum leaks are the most common problem so checking for leaks would be a good test.

Re: Brake booster

Thanks for the reply. I tried that and it didn't work, tried it on one that just came off of a truck so I believe it is good and it didn't work on that one either. Checked the local supply house and they actually have one in stock for $100. Might just pick it up to be safe.
