shiney.....

Got in yesterday evening with this one. 72, short bed with a small block and turbo 350. Nothing fancy, power steering, manual disc brakes and heater only. Kind of exactly what I have been looking for. The pics are more flattering to it than they should be. It is screaming for a set of steel wheels and poverty caps and the under hood needs a lot of small things straightened out. Maybe,,,,,, I can keep this one,,,, maybe....

Nice lookin' rig! Me??? I'd leave the Cragar's on it and lower it, with bigs and littles on them. But then again... I'm a sucker for 60's and 70's era mag wheels.

Cragar S/S ad from early 1970's...

Re: shiney.....

Yes, they are nice, but I am just too lazy for chrome wheels. The whole deal about keeping the rust at bay wears me the hell out.

You and me both. That is the first thing on the list. I was so concerned, I disconnected the battery when I trailered it home. Rubber fuel line makes me nervous. Thanks for the observation, thought it was just me...

Re: shiney.....

Hello Fred, I spent 4 great years in your area...going to college. I met Jeff Sneathen at SEMO Mustangs and actually worked for him dismantling old Mustangs while attending school there. That's quite a truck, just like everyone is looking to nab. I have a decent GMC long bed, a '72. It too needs a great many little things and a BED to be closer to "right" but good things come to those who work to better their trucks, right?
Thanx for sharing.

Tom
