chassis help
I am looking to build a short bed with my 64 cab and front end. Can I use a chevy chassis from the years 67-72. I want to ultimately try and get one from 63-66 but having difficulty doing so.
Thanks for any advice. |

Re: chassis help
Pretty much the same question was asked yesterday.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=657629 Yes you can use a frame from a '67-'72 with a few mods such as the rear cab mount brackets as well as the radiator supports. The frame horns will not accept a '60-'66 bumper and you will have to add the radiator crossmember. Also be sure to check with your local DMV on the legal aspects of changing a frame.....different VIN on cab versus VIN on frame.
