Tow mirrors

Looking for something with the same bracketry and housing style as the Squarebody mirrors but taller to accommodate a convex mirror and something that also slides out for when you pull a trailer does anyone have something close to this or maybe an idea as to where to find some? Thank you in advance

Re: Tow mirrors

Was thinking a bit more stock with the mount and then the bracket either extends up to mount at two places versus the one or swivels just like the new mirrors so it has that mast with two bars that can extend/close

Re: Tow mirrors

I know some of the last couple of years of the square body burbs have electric ones
but those long "stick" ones might be from vans ,just turn the "pipe"

Re: Tow mirrors

If you add 91 mirrors, you can buy an extension that goes over the mirror. The extension goes out about another 6" or so.

Re: Tow mirrors

Those mirrors that are on Jims truck and the ones in the first pic were factory. They came as early as at least 72. I have a 72 with them. My crew cab has a set of west coasts on it. When towing (and all the time for me) I lie the biggest mirror I can get. The factory mirrors can be flipped back and forth when needed. Plus you don't have anything to store behind the seat, or leave in the garage when you need them most. Just my $0.02

Re: Tow mirrors

thats a good idea my plan was to use rv mirrors they mount very much like the oem i think i could make em work with the stock mount like yours even and not stick up so high.

Re: Tow mirrors

I was told to post the pictures of the mirror and truck in a "square body" forum and came across this thread. I was told that this was a 1989 Cheyenne but apparently it may not be. Can anyone tell me what year the truck is and if the mirrors appear to be aftermarket or stock. At some point, the mirrors appear to have been painted white.

Re: Tow mirrors

Does anyone know if these mirrors were ever used on a Square Body Truck? They came off a large 1989 Chevy Van. The brackets look similar to Ford mirrors that I have seen. Were they Chevy issued or aftermarket?
