66 interior pic
This is where I've stopped for the year. It's been a lot of work but I'm satisfied with what I've done. Next stop is the engine.

Re: 66 interior pic
Thanks. It's been a lot of work but it's starting to look like I've actually been making progress. I've enjoyed doing it too.

Re: 66 interior pic
Your outcome looks great! Love the contrasting/coordinating colors on the seat and door panels; they go together perfectly. It's nice to have patience needed to 2-tone door panels. I'd be proud of such an interior.
Keep those pics coming! Sam |

Re: 66 interior pic
It does take patience to do two tone but it's worth it. On another note I did most of this outside so don't feel like you have to have a spray booth. with some careful planning and a little bit of luck you will be surprised what you can pull off. Thanks again for the compliments.

Re: 66 interior pic
Upholstery is the only thing that terrifies me more than body and paint. Was the seat foam still useable? Just a new cover or did it need more than that?

Re: 66 interior pic
It needed more than that. The original foam wasn't in great shape but it still had the basic shape pretty well so I added some memory foam and reinforced the original wires and added some more along with some spring work. The LMC cover fit well and it's padded too so that helps but I couldn't get the rings to hold tight enough without tearing in some places so I used self tapping sheetmetal screws and washers along most of the bottom. It took about two days of taking it apart and putting it back together before I was happy with it. Here's a pic from last year when I did it.
