G.M. vin research info (who knows about this?)
There used to be a service provided by G.M. for a fee that researched your vehicle by VIN#.
Has anyone used this or have an address or the amount they charge to research it for you? Thanks, Tim |

Re: G.M. vin research info (who knows about this?)
I'm not sure about Stateside...but GM Canada would do it for a simple fee.
They would send you a pretty nice document (set?) on GM letterhead showing the cars (trucks?) info including the option buildsheet, point of build-manufacture, dates, etc. A lot of guys at the local show'n shines put these in their windows...which looks pretty cool and gives some good genuine info. You probably have to contact or source GM Restoration parts/program for it. I don't have the direct info on it myself. good luck. Coley

That is the sort of thing I am hoping for.

Re: G.M. vin research info (who knows about this?)
I don't thnk the US has the info by VIN number anymore. I know canada does. I got a couple of the booklets a few years ago and they were kind of generic. There was no info on your actual vehicle, just a summary of what came on vehicles similar to yours.
