My 67 C20 Build thread.
O.k.... I hope that I have the right forum, If not, please move :-)
Sell, my story will start as a recovering Mopar guy, I got an itch to do a GM Pick-um-up truck and went on the hunt, A friend found this about 70 miles away. She's only been on the road from the original owner, after the Original passed, the truck changed hands twice before i found it, sat both times, so i'm working with a fairly virgin piece. I was told she was a 327, 4 speed truck. |

Re: My 67 C20 Build thread.
spend the other day taking the front end apart, Picked up a few of 74 spindles with disks on it, will put disk on the front, after pulling her apart i checked the engine, ran the numbers and found it's not a 327, but a late model 350 4 bolt. It spind sfree, will inspect and do a minor rebuild on it. Also found a busted sway bar and sway bar mount, looks like someone pulled the ol girl pretty hard... Floors are nice, she has the normal work needed
cab corners inner and outer rockers front cab mount and one section of floor. Frame is extremely solid... The plan, new brake system, new brake lines, lines, drop her lower, make her run and drive, enjoy the hell out of her. and keep the 8 lugs, cause that just looks cool! |

Re: My 67 C20 Build thread.
Some floor rot removed. 1 cab corner done. Door adjusted and lock fixed. after sitting in a year for 8 years the lock mechanism was jammed and stuck, removed it, parts cleaner soak and wire brush freed it up, grease and cleaned so its no longer an issue :-) Im far from a welder or a body guy, but i do the best I can, bottom rocker was mocked up in these pictures.

Rear cab mount. Front cab mount. Inner cab corner and inner and outer rockers done. Just got to burn it all in and i get to start on the drivers side.
I made the inner cab corner piece, happy with the way it turned out. |
