GMC Paul's push on weather stripping
I got GMC Paul's push on weather stripping, and according to their website, "These push on, and will conform to the stock 45 degree mitered corner above the vent window assembly."
When I look at the weather stripping I got, it doesn't have a miter in it....it's just a continous piece. So did I get the wrong pieces, or do you just install it and the stuff will bend around the corner. |

Re: GMC Paul's push on weather stripping
It will conform. Just use a rubber mallet and lightly tap it in place as you work your way around with it. WES

Re: GMC Paul's push on weather stripping
I have the same ones, after a good bit of work I got mine to fight pretty good, no wind noises inside either. My driver side door still doesn't shut easily, but the passenger side has softened a bit. Driver side still needs the butt bump after teh fact, with the windows up..and in rainy Washington - that is all the time...

Re: GMC Paul's push on weather stripping
Here's the part number
2660241 and the link http://www.gmcpauls.com/Pickup.htm the "old" glue on weather stripping took about 15 seconds to pull off, and the new weather stripping took a little work to get on. Like Wes said, I used a rubber mallet to gently tap it on. It took me probably 45 min to get them on, and the doors close fine (they are adjusted to close with the new glue on weather stripping) No test drive to check results or pictures yet |

Re: GMC Paul's push on weather stripping
I highly recommend the push on weatherstripping from GMC Pauls. I just ripped out the glue on and installed these. My advice to anyone out there..."DO NOT USE THE GLUE ON TYPE"...messy and constantly pull off. I called a buddy of mine who is doing a build up and told him the same thing. My issue now is I need to remove the excess glue because the push on weatherstripping is a little smaller than the glue on.
Great product and a must buy! |

Re: GMC Paul's push on weather stripping
I just installed the push on on my '70, and got a set for my '67 as well. They are really nice, but they don't cover as much around the edge on the inside.
