Rear Seat In A Blazer - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I was wondering if anyone here has ever tried to use another type of bench seat in the rear of a blazer reason I ask a friend has a left over rear seat from a 00 extended cab chevy truck that I can have. Would it work?? My blazer did not come from the factory with a rear seat so if anybody could post a couple of pic of where the mounting point are and seat belts that would be great

I believe that the truck's seat will be too wide for your blazer, the rear blazer's seat go in between the rear wheelwells whereas the truck's seat takes up all the space in the back of the cab.

You can use the third seat from a yukon or suburban. Plus it has the seatbelts in it. That is what I am searching for now. I already have the front seats from a 2002, now I just need to find the rear seat. By the way, they seem to be very expensive as the third sear was an option, and people later find out that they want one so they are still really expensive.

On my last Blazer I used a mid 80's S-10 Blazer rear seat. I had to use custom made brackets. The plus side was that it folded down which looks nice when the top is off. No ugly rear seat hump sticking up.

With the third seat of a burb or a Tahoe you can get the clips so it can fold down or you can roll it forward or just completely take it out in a matter of seconds

Beard seats makes a nice seat that fits the Blazers. http://www.redart.com/benchrs.asp & you can get seats to match. As far as the mounting points, here is a photo that shows the bed floor where the seat bolts down. I know some Blazers had two points in the rear, some had four.

does anybody know where I could order or purchase the 2 or 4 bracket needed to mount a seat as stated earlier mine did not come factory with them and Im drying to ride in my blazer with my 2 kids thanks in advance

I bought the two front brackets from Frank (PICKMUP). I'd check with him to see if he has the rears. They were very reasonable price, he shipped them right away and they showed up sand blasted & ready for paint!

I pulled this out of my burb...it didn't go all the way across in the second seat position, would work greta in the rear of a burb or blazer.

I've almost given up on having anyone willingly ride in the back seat more than once. It's windy as all get out back there going more that 30 mph or so. My kids start ducking for cover and blinking alot. My wife will bearly even ride in the front, let alone the back.
