14 Bolt Corporate rear into 67-72 trucks
Ok People one more,
I actually have several Big Block trucks, and I am going to swap a 14 bolt from an '88 Sub into one of them. My question is this, should I start with a leaf spring frame and use the original 2" wide leafs, or should I start with a coil spring frame and either fabricate hangers or blow some hangers off of a later truck, in order to use the longer, 2 1/2" wide Sub/Truck leafs? Thanks! Tim |

Re: 14 Bolt Corporate rear into 67-72 trucks
I am using late modle super duty 3" leafs and hangers. they ride great.
I would go with the laters if I were you because they are longer which means they will ride beter. as far as witch fame to use, the are both the same excpt for the crossmembers are in different locations. Idealy you want a cross member between the hangers so the frame rails wont twist when under a load. |
