F/S Wiper Delay
Ready to ship!
This is the "next gen" wiper delay. The first gen saw much success in the 67-72 forum. This revised model will fit 60-72 MY's. 100% reversible and installs in minutes. Gives you approx. 3-30 seconds of delay and does not require harness cutting, splicing or soldering. The video shows the "install" in my 72, installing it in your 60-66 will be very similar. Instructions specific to 60-66 are included. A big thank you to CaptainFab as he was instrumental in making the adaptation to the 60-66 MY's possible. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWpj-...ature=youtu.be Please see this informative post from 67-72: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=593984 Last edited by twouvakind; 11-02-2014 at 09:06 PM. Re: F/S Wiper Delay
I'm glad to see that you have this for sale thread up Bill.
I'll add just a little to this for those interested in this delay unit. This wiper delay does give you a delay range as stated, with the wipers 'parking' every time, and is very easy to install. Also Bill doesn't mess around with shipping. You'll have your delay unit before you know it. And if anyone has any trouble installing theirs, I will be willing to help.

Re: F/S Wiper Delay
Thanks again John, now you are stepping up for tech support! This is a great opportunity to get that option that GM could only dream of back in the day.
What some buyers of the first gen from the 67-72 side of the house have said: "The workmanship & detail looks exc. I can't wait to do an install. thanks again" "Yes. works great. thanks again. Hope you sell many of them on the board. They are definately worth the money. Finally, someone has come up with a intermittent wiper that is easily installed and works flawlessly on our trucks" "BTW your wiper delay works great! I love it." |

Re: F/S Wiper Delay
Hello, my first time on a message board so pardon me on my board edict. I have a 72 Chevy truck 4x4 with 454/700r and a 72 GMC Burb. The p/u has been my daily driver, work, travel truck for almost 25 years. I am extremely interested in your wiper delay for both. Where do I order one. Thanks!

Re: F/S Wiper Delay
Another success story, I thank you for that. $62 shipped for the "next gen". The next gen works just like the first gen.

Re: F/S Wiper Delay
When the delay is turned off, your wipers and washers work as normal. I haven't tried the washer, when the delay is on, but usually when you have the delay on, it is because you have a certain amount of water on the windshield already.
Yes you keep the original wiper switch. You just unplug the light blue wire, and plug in the delay wires between the light blue wire and the terminal on the wiper switch. The control for the wiper can be mounted wherever you like. There is also a 12v and a ground to connect. This wiper delay is very simple to do.

Re: F/S Wiper Delay
The unit has no effect on the wash function or traditional wiper function. You keep your wiper switch, this unit comes with a variable control for you to mount in a 5/16" hole or bracket(included)hole.
