Should be similar to this:
The cable goes through the rectangular hole under the steering column opening.

Re: 66 C10 Emergency Brake Handle and Bracket
I don't want to hijack your thread but can anyone tell me the name of the black plate that mounts the brake handle to the bottom of the pedal frame? Does anyone have an extra?

Re: 66 C10 Emergency Brake Handle and Bracket
Thanks, The part I identified (& to buy) is black, has two bolts into the steering column one bolt into the under dash pedal mount and the brake handle & ratchet are also bolted to it. I think the clutch bumper is also mounted on it. It's kind of the do everything part on the steering column.
I have some extra hand brake parts if anyone wants to trade. Thanks Again. |

Re: 66 C10 Emergency Brake Handle and Bracket
Sounds like your talking about the plate that mounts the steering column up as well as supports the parking brake ratchet. Should be fairly easy to find a used one but I don't have a parts truck

Re: 66 C10 Emergency Brake Handle and Bracket
I've always referred to it as the steering column mount bracket.
