Re: short bed dreams (help!!)
Wide side beds are 6 1/2 ft. , 8ft.
Fender sides are 6 1/2 ft. 8 ft. and 9 ft. Last edited by Tommy454; 12-02-2010 at 11:14 PM. Reason: spellcheck |

Re: short bed dreams (help!!)
to cut a long bed down to a short bed you have to take out 12" in front of the wheel well and 8" behind the wheel well.do a search on here to find out more information.

Try going to www.powerblocktv.com , they did the conversion (
LWB to SWB ) on their ' 66 C10 project truck on the " Trucks " show . There should be some video of the conversion on the website . |

Re: short bed dreams (help!!)
You can get the Trucks episode of this on ITunes. I like their process better with Z cutting the frame and taking the lengths of bed sides from the very ends instead of the middles. They also Z cut around the stakes so that they moved in with the end caps.

Re: short bed dreams (help!!)
are you wanting to do it, or wanting to have someone do it?
I have found some short steps and short fleet beds around the dfw area, they arent cheap but would be a good start. Which are you wanting?
