Front Clip...GMC or Chevy

Which would you choose if you had 1 of each?? I need to buy the patch panel for below the battery anyways, and I have 2 complete front clips in my inventory to choose from. The GMC has the 67 fenders and hood and a 68 GMC chrome grill. The Chevy one is the stock one from my 72. They both need the same amount of work, so which one would you choose??

It's just a matter of opinion...which do you like best? If you did a poll...I'm sure the Chevy would win. When I bought my GMC, I prefered the Chevy's too, I bought the truck because it was low mileage and in great shape. The GMC grill has really grown on me....it is surprising to me how many people have never seen one. More than once people have asked me how I put 4 headlites on that chevy truck...lol. Chrome steel is sooo much cooler than plastic.

I have always preferred the GMC grill. It is actually the reason I wanted a 67-72 was for that front end. When I was in high school , a buddy of mine had a 71 GMC long fleet 4x4 with a 4" lift and painted orange, it was the coolest truck. The truck is still in town and is great shape!!

You mean I could have my truck on your wallpaper???

I'm pretty much set on the GMC grill, but would also like to hear others opinions on this

GMC all of the way here Tim. When I build that Short box it will use the 67/68 hood with a GMC grill. They look especially sweet with the CST trim on the leading edge of the grille and fenders.

IMO (for what it's worth; and this in no way is intended to insult those who have chosen differently), the Chevy grille looks better on a customized ride and SWB trucks, whereas the GMC grille looks better on trucks orientated towards work (4x4's, 3/4 and 1 tons). The GMC grille just screams "Ya, I can do that" to me, whereas the Chevy grilles have "softer" lines.

I would choose the GMC, I like the 72 front end, but you see alot of them, and I prefer the hood of the 67-68 years. Nice lines!!
