Whats your favorite part of your truck?
yes i know, i have like 3 active threads. but this just popped in my head. what is your personal favorite part of your truck? could be your seat, your engine, maybe a custom touch? post a pic and say what it is. mine is the hood ornaments that came from the dealership.

Re: Whats your favorite part of your truck?
the louvered hood. it's old school flat top wide louvers not this stuff they pass off as a louvers today. it's hard to find someone who can punch out a louvered panel right this days.

Re: Whats your favorite part of your truck?
It would have to be the Exhaust exiting right under the gas tank (you can really hear it). the down side was I had floor rot right above where the pipes exited.

Re: Whats your favorite part of your truck?
I love looking at the truck from different angles. The styling of our trucks is so timeless they look good from any angle but I really like looking from the back at the fleetside and tailgate.

Re: Whats your favorite part of your truck?
I love the key, because I put it in my truck and go!
I have had several of these trucks and I will always love looking at these dashboards and over these hoods. I miss that when I don't drive one for a while. And,when I finally do,it's always the same great feeling. I always thought it was cool how the view's the same whether it's a low shortbed,a high K/20,a heavy duty C/30 with any number of different beds on back,a K/5 with the top off,a Suburban with two rows of people sitting behind you,or a Panel with the whole truck behind you enclosed from the dashboard to the back doors.

The title. Been together for 16 years.
Favorite part of the actual truck is the glovebox door. The wrinkle finish and emblem look so cool on it.

Re: Whats your favorite part of your truck?
Idea for new thread ..
"What's your favorite part about Big Al's truck?" Mine has to be the looks you get from other people. Young or old, male or female it doesn't matter. For example, the neighbor across the stree from me (20yr old female, golfer) absolutely loves my GMC. It's just people you'd never think that like these old trucks .. Doctors, Lawyers, etc. People are really starting to realize nowdays that you can: #1 - Buy a new truck. 50% of what you put into it, you loose in depreciation. They don't last and difficult to repair. .. I could go on. #2 - Restore an old truck. 50% of what you put into it increases the value for resale if need be. they last forever, easy to repair. Yeah, gas mileage is different but for $500/mo. payment I can buy a lot of gas.

The strange way the NP 435 shifter is bent. The throw on it is perfect.

Re: Whats your favorite part of your truck?
on my 67, i would say the horn cap. to look at it and see it shine and glisen in the sunlight. and to think how many other proud 67 chevy truck owners seen that same horn cap from when that one truck was theres, and how they,ve all looked at it. plus the CST 67 68 horn caps are just beautiful.
