What Is A 3+3?

I am kinda new here and I see people referring to some crew cab square bodys as 3+3 and I have even seen some original badges for them on the trucks but what exactly does 3+3 stand for?

Re: What Is A 3+3?

its only on a crew cab truck that has front and rear bench seats ( usually a work truck) and you can fit three persons in front and three in back

What he said. Room for 3 in the front + 3 in the back.

3+3+12 in the bed depending or on your proximity to an agricultural area....or +48 in other parts of the world. GM underestimated the people carrying potential

Re: What Is A 3+3?

The answer is 6! You have to figure GM just came out with the "crew" cab,so now companies could have a truck that could not only ride the 3 up front, which was the max up to this point, but now could ride 3 more in the additional seat...the whole crew. The name draws attention to the added passenger capacity which was the whole appeal and purpose of the new design. There were also "Bonus Cabs",which were the crewcab w/o the rear seat. They were intended s a truck with inside storage that didn't use up cargo space.
