Re: WHo has the full length carpet?

I purchased my carpet kit through Gasoline Alley [who's location is in Vancouver] who deal with Classic Industries. I would never buy direct from Classic Ind. as they are very poor at backing up their products especially when it's in Canada. Gasoline alley have good prices but are highly unorganized and under staffed. Thats why the low price.

Having said this the carpet kit was great, full length and also very generous from kick sill to kick sill as well. There was plenty to cut away which is how I like it. I've installed carpets that were so skimpy that you could not keep the carpet under the kick sill.

I've heard good things about Auto Custom Carpets but have no experience with them personally. The trick is to find a reputable dealer in Canada who is a distributor for Auto Custom or whom ever you choose to buy your carpet from. This should be able to be put in the mail and that would save the big UPS boarder rape!

Tim Christian can get it for you - I think he can even have them leave it longer if you had a reason for that.

Okay, so what is the difference between 80/10, nylon, and cut pile. Which one woul be least likely to fade?

Re: WHo has the full length carpet?

I don't think it's the fading that is the main concern in a p/up, on the other hand in a burb. with the top removed anything is going to fade.

They are two different types of carpet, 80/20 is a loop carpet with a twist to the loop. Cut pile has a nap finish which looks fuzzy/plush. I don't think it wears as well and always appears like it needs to be vacuumed. I never did like this type of carpet.

Re: WHo has the full length carpet?

Here are some samples of carpet.

The first one is a 80/20 loop. The loop keeps the carpet from laying flat and showing shoe prints.

The next two are cut pile. This carpet is usually in the more deluxe models.
