Re: i think this K20 CST is pretty sweet (ebay)
That's really nice and a CST K/20 is rare. With all the use of "factory" in the description,it would be nice if it had not been over restored and better attention to factory correct given. For one thing, there was no Silver offered in 1970. I wonder what color it was from factory.

Tim, maybe it was a special paint order of 70 chevelle color "Cortez silver" you could get any color I am sure if you knew somebody. There are original 70 chevelles with 69 paint codes. Trevor

Re: i think this K20 CST is pretty sweet (ebay)
In '69 Silver poly was code 523. Wondering though if its "matching numbers" how can it have a new motor, trans and transfer case? If anyone gets a picture of the SPID please post it.

Re: i think this K20 CST is pretty sweet (ebay)
Question: How can this be a matching numbers truck if it has a new motor?
I agree its a nice looking truck. Maybe he means the motor has been rebuilt?

Re: i think this K20 CST is pretty sweet (ebay)
Sorry,my mistake. I was thinking it was a '70 (just looked at another thread with nice original '70 K/10). Silver was an option in '69. I just smell a stinky description...all over the place. Misuse of words like factory, numbers matching, and original all turn me off. It's a nice truck. Let it sell itself. "Adult owner since 1975"? What, did a kid own it when it was new? Original paint and base coat/clear coat just don't jive. Original "color",maybe. Numbers matching and new motor, trans, and transfer case? Factory tach? Maybe, but a CST never had a woodgrain dash. Factory seat? More like a reproduction of a factory 71/72 seat. If it's a rare numbers matching K/20 CST they should have shown the SPID or how about that build sheet? I'm not bashing the truck, but I am criticizing the seller. I hate BS,especially on such a nice truck. I think it looks like a nicely restored truck that was nicely modified a bit with other later GM features. My only comment on the truck is it looks like they may have used the wrong body mounts. The cab sits lower than the bed and core support.
