what is bolding you up on your truck build?

Hey guys, just a simple thread here. What is the next thing you want to do to your truck, and what is stopping you?

For me, the next thing(s) are to repair the wiring short I have and body work.
The hold up is time right now. The wife just started working so I'm on kid duty when I get home from work. But this weekend I'm putting them to work, possibly with some wand paper :-)

Re: what is bolding you up on your truck build?

Time and money is my hold up.

I work out of town, home on the weekends, so I have to split time with the truck and family.

Money, well I'm still trying to get my money tree to grow.

We're probably all in the same boat in one way or another.

Re: what is bolding you up on your truck build?

Still looking for front fender for my C50 project. I need the front fenders to make rear fender flares to cover the super singles.

Currently cutting my Kodiak front axle down 9 inches to fit. Then Ill have 4 wheel disk with 22.5 Alcoa's all around.

Have you considered stepside fenders, a guy down the street did that to his c30... looks pretty good

I did think about it but I like the look of grafting the front fenders into the fleet side better. The lines flow better.
Thanks for the tip though!

Here's a link to a parts truck or another project. Not mine.

Thanks so much for the tip!

Your truck looks great, Dave. I am looking forward to seeing it in person at one of our fall get togethers.

This is 67-72chevytrucks.com not Facebook. I did a quick scan of your posts and didn't see anything (I could have missed it though). Why would you not share your smiley inducing thoughts here?

I had a small novel typed out on where my "build" was. 2 trucks and a cab waiting to be loved and built, sitting 45 miles away for another 2 weeks before i bring em home. And then the fun begins. That's the short story lol

Bro... that sucks. I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. Getting injured, especially doing something you love always sucks.

Re: what is bolding you up on your truck build?

Time, space, laziness, and a bent frame.

My '72 still sits half torn apart waiting for me to get off my lazy butt to put the '69 frame underneath it.

Body/paint and no place to do it inside or money to pay a shop to do it (which I really don't want even if I had the money)

Re: what is bolding you up on your truck build?

69chevytrucker....wow that really sucks...people always asked why i never got laser surgery on my eyes...i figured if i did i'd have to wear safety glasses all the time so why bother...a lot of wire wheels out there were designed to go into 1/4 in electric drills and will come apart if you put them in an air tool...and on the original subject,MONEY....need 2 mar-k bedsides, a bed wood kit, and 4 BFG's...and i'm not working
