Stock Oil filter help!!! Any adapters worth using??
Been restoring a '65 GMC shortbed/stepside 1/2 ton back to stock original as possible, it has the big 305E V-6 that I just had completely rebuilt. The previous owner rigged up the oil filter completely wrong from how it should have been. I have been looking everywhere for the correct oil filter housing and set up having no luck. From what I have read on here all the oil filter adapters are worthless and don't seal and always have problems. Anyone have an original oil filter housing or suggestions on where to find one or if there is any adapters out there worth using. Here is a couple pictures I have found on here and picture of my engine after being rebuilt

Check out the parts for sale forum.
