Battery Question

Why do so many guys put multiple batteries down next to the frame usually back under the bed? I'm doing a slammed and bagged truck also but I'm wondering why all the batteries. Are they just trying to keep the engine compartment clean? And why more than one battery? Do the compressors draw too much for one battery?

Thanks

Learning as I go

Re: Battery Question

Personally I didn't know there were a lot of people that did that. I've seen maybe one or two that have been moved to clean the engine compartment.

Re: Battery Question

Any I've seen with multiple batteries were running hydraulics or had a massive stereo system. Some might throw on an extra for insurance or if they play with the bags a lot with the engine off.
