torque for fittings?
Just wondering how much torque should be applied when tightening brass fittings? Also is the loctite #545 really that good for fittings, where can i pick it up? I don't think Home Depot and Lowes carry it :/

Re: torque for fittings?
as much to get them tight.. unless its into the bag.. then it depends on the bag.
tape works fine, if you don't fall for the teflon tape is a sealer bs, unless you wanna shell out doe for the loctite just cuz,

Re: torque for fittings?
I meant more in the sense of like hand tight or really crank down on them with a wrench till there is no visible thread. Yeah that loctite stuff is real expensive but i've been reading a lot of people complaining of leaks with teflon tape.

Re: torque for fittings?
if it's going into brass or the tank.. crank them down.. cant really do that on bags them selves, i did on my 2600's nothing happened... but slam want 25 ft lbs i think..
teflon tapes leaks cuz people don't tighten them up.. as it's not really a sealer.. so finger tight and a 1/4 or 1/2 turn will get you leaks..
