door panels
I have a 70 c10 and like the look of the 72 door panels. If I got a set would I have to change anything such as the regulator or door handles etc?

The shaft for the handle on the window regulater was longer in 72 to acomidate the new panel. You might be able to do without replacing them...but you'll probably need them though.

I know this one for sure. I put 72's on my 67 doors. I tried to use the original shafts. You HAVE TO change them. The 67-71 regulator shafts, door and window, are shorter than the 72. They will barely poke out of the 72 panel. I was lucky and had a 72 custom parts truck so I just went back to it and switched the window and door regulators. If you look at the 67-71 door panels they are just flat panels, the 72's are a lot "thicker." The swap is worth it and now would be an excellent time to order brand new window regulators! Even the armrests screw into the original holes. I love how the panels look on my truck!

67 redneck could you explain the process you went through to get the plastic push in pins to work. Mine didn't quite line up and some of the holes were to big after removing the captured nuts. If I have asked this of you previously you can disregard. I hate to screw through the door panel and was not looking forward to welding holes shut and redrilling right size holes. Have done this swap before but just wasn't quite satisfied with the fitment and holding of the plastic door panel pins

Might this be a good article for the FAQ section? I would like to see pics of redoing the bottom holes before taking trhe drill to mine.

crap, hit the wrong button....I measured evenly from each corner and put 4 screws in my panel. Mine were used that I clean-up and resprayed, but they honestly looked new....Not sure if you would want to drill new $120 door panels. I used the fancy screws with a curved head and their own V-shaped washer and then I painted them black with some model paint to match the panel. You don't even notice they are there. I did this about 5 years ago, but I do remember not being able to get the clips to line up...hence the drilling. Sorry, no deep insight there, but you DO need 72 door and window regulators.
