engine compartment color question
Okay give me your thoughts on colors for the master cyl/booster/core support and inner fenders? Black/Red paint/red powder coat/chrome?
Oh and what about headers?

Geez.........looks darn good the way it is. Maybe do the master cylinder in black but the rest looks good. I know this isn't what you wanted to hear but..................

I agree with gman, black on the master cyl., and the steering linkage would look good, the rest looks great already.

Personally, I'd loose those radiator hose and heater hose covers (those are just covers, right?), get a taller air cleaner, get a late model master cylinder (made of aluminum, i.e. no rust), leave the inner fenders and core support black like you have them. I still can't decide if I like the underside of the hood black or body color, but yours looks good black.

Oh, I like it. My fuel line is all braided stuff. I just think there can be too much. Just like chrome. A little is cool...... a lot is gaudy. Nice looking engine compartment though!

That's one of those pics that when it loads, you immediately go "Whoa." VERY nice and clean compartment. As said above, score a new MC and leave the rest. I dig the braided.

I'm with slammed, maybe keep the braided fuel line. It still looks nice though.

Now I'm embarrassed to open my hood.
I would go with the gold on the booster and black on the MS .

VT:
Thanks. I am going to replace/paint my master cyl...paint the booster and proportioning valve...paint the steering shaft gloss black...changing the valve covers to polished aluminum tall units...paint the headers...repaint the accessory mounts, alternator and power steering pump gloss black...new polished aluminum pulley's...I will probably do something with the carb and go to a large K&N drop air cleaner... thats the plan of record today...

I like satin black on those parts better than gloss black, but it is your truck, that's just my preference.

Yeah...I thought about that....I think you are right on that one BARN9.
If anyone is interested...I will probably be selling the pulleys and those "502" valve covers.

Cad-Gold the booster; iron gray on the MC; loose ALL the braided. Use stock stamped or cast VCs.
MHO.
