Angry Sons Truck was Stolen this Evening

Can't believe it, came out from the bank and it was gone. He was just getting ready to notch the back. He just finished the interior, new buckets w/ a flip middle, new billet on the dash and doors, new door panels, new tach mounted like Mikes on the old column shifter, new bezel chromed, b&m shifter on the floor with the pwr windows & lock swithes mounted on the consoel. Just makes me sick the think of all the time and effort he put in it.

So anyone around Phoenix that see a c-10 white shortbed w/ 20" wheels painted white w/ silver pinstripes, let me know, he wants it back

Mike they broke the window out, left it laying in the parking lot. We found pieces of the column in the parking lot when they broke it apart.

Tom it was stolen from the Fry's parking lot at 44 & Thomas, my son works at the bank there.

The cop that finally came after 3 hours of waiting said with all the billet parts, wheels and interior that it will be found stripped. He was pretty cool, he has a 86 4x4 lifted and has had 2 truck stolen himself. He said when he catches these guys he ask them why they did it, and most reply they were trying to get to their homies place, a couple of blocks away. To lazy to work and to lazy to walk so they steal everyone elses property.

i agree with the cop, it was taken for the billet....you will probably get the truck back minus that, hope for the best.......this is a good reason why i always install at least one extra start button....they can break into it, but if you dont find the extra button or 2, it aint startin.....

Damn that sux. Hope you get it back! Its weird....the ones that get stolen are usually the ones that dont have "tons" of stuff done. There are quite a few that have 15k or more in work done and they never get messed with ...stupid thieves!! Just shows you how much they actually think about it before they do it.

Keep us updated man.

Twice in two years, my cousin had his rides stolen when he visited the city. There's nothing makes you feel more helpless than to wait for your machine to show up on the street somewhere.

Good luck finding it. With his Camaro, they took the freshly refinished Z rims and dropped it on the brakes. Let's hope they have the decency to use blocks, because those rims are history. Thieves aren't known for decency though.

Sorry to hear Tom.

It is out of control here. Cars/trucks are stolen like crazy. It has happened to, too many of my friends. Its a gamble if youll ever see it again. There are a lot of people cruising these c-10s around here now. I bet they strip it for all its worth, body and all. Also vin switching is real comon out here. Is your son ever out west (west of 43rd avenue?). I think I have seen that truck before, but it was weeks ago. I will keep an eye out and your info in my wallet for a few weeks. If I see it Ill give you a call and do what I can. I hope you can get it back in great shape.

Tom, yes you probably have seen it on the west side, he really gets around with the bank. He has also shown it several times at the pavillions in scottsdale, in fact someone with the all chevy weekend in az asked him to enter his truck in the show, he really went all out on the interior.

Again thank you everyone for your support. And if anyone could locate the pic that I took of his truck in front of the mural of Marilynn Monroe at the motorcycle shop that I posted on the board months back, well that pic is more up to date photo than the one shown above.

Thanks everyone.

No, based on the original thread, I think that bagged78 performed the photo-chop.

Post the pic in the photoshop section on the board and let the masters have at it. They do some awesome work in there.

Man that really sucks, sorry guys. My cousin had an 89(I think) Mustang, and I don't like this style but I thought it was a really sharp car, with chrome wheels, custom exhaust, stereo, the works. He was visiting his g/f's college and it was stolen right out of the lot. Couple days later, it was found in a bad neighborhood on blocks, interior ripped apart, dash destroyed, exhaust, engine, wheels, stereo all gone. Not to mention they smashed the whole car too.
I hope they find the guys that did it, maybe you'll get lucky and just loose the wheels and billet, I hope they don't wreck it like they did with my cuz's car. They should let you have a few minutes with the guys that stole it, or turn them over to any of the board members!
Keep us informed!
