Door Skin Install
Can a door skin be installed on our trucks without removing the glass(windows)???

I have never done it myself, but I am pretty sure my son did it without removing the glass.
While he had the old door skin off he cleaned inside the door and sprayed some primer inside. Danny

I don't recommend it. I have done skin replacements and always take out the glass. One is to protect it. Any grinding or welding can leave marks in it. Mainly its on a customers truck or car and we don't want to replace any more than we have to. plus it makes the door that much heavier to work with the vent window and glass all in

i did mine while the window was in i took the paper that they sell that is spark retardent or whatever its called put that and a fire blanket over my window and my window was just fine... check out my build thread in my sig i have pics on there
