71 4x4 Drive shafts

I have the front and rear drive shaft from my 71 longbed pickup that I cannot use with my conversion. They were used with an SBC350/TH350/NP205 combo.

The rear shaft will need new joints as one end is missing the caps from the joint. The other end appears ok. It has no dents in it and the slip feels fine. $40 plus shipping

The front shaft is a CV style shaft and has all joints and caps in tact and in operable shape. The CV feels tight and smooth. Overall in good condition for a driver. $75 plus shipping

Re: 71 4x4 Drive shafts

Is the slip joint on the front shaft tight? What are the collapsed and extended length from the middle of the outermost u-joints?

I didnt check it specifically but I dont remember noticing any slop anywhere in these shafts. I will try to get you a measurement tonight.

Re: 71 4x4 Drive shafts

Did you have a chance to measure the shaft? I want to see if it would work for my 74.

Re: 71 4x4 Drive shafts

jasons,

I took some measurements and it looks like it is 23 1/2 fully collapsed and 26 1/2 fully extended. both measurements are from center of joint to center of joint.

Also, the slip felt solid. No slop that i could feel.

Let me know.

Re: 71 4x4 Drive shafts

Sounds like it will fit. Would you take $75 shipped to 68924?

Looks like shipping is about $26 to a residence. I can split it with you and do $85 shipped if that works with you.

Let me know.

blazerboy, looks like shipping is about $32 for the rear shaft.

Let me know what you would like to do.
