Those compact spares on the floor look like frisbees compared to your tires!

Re: 73-87 lift/tire combo pics
Just a 2" lift with springs up front and blocks in the rear with bags. 235/85/16's which is almost a 32" tire.

Re: 73-87 lift/tire combo pics
That was with a 6" suspension lift, 3" body lift, Bushwacker Cut-Out Flares, and 38x15.50 Mickey Thompson Baja Claws. The rest are without the body lift. Without the flares, I had to trim the very corners of the front fenders a little. Otherwise they cleared just fine. I used a 16x10 wheel with 5" backspacing, for reference. With the cut-outs, the tires cleared by a mile with only 6" of lift. With the combined 9" of lift and cut-outs, I'm guessing I could have cleared narrow 42's.

Do you have any close up pics of your fender trimming? I need to do mine. I would rather not have the wide flares as i run narrow tires. Any info would be great before i start cutting into good metal. Thanks, Chris |
